The secret is in the weight. Think about it: a thick, heavy-walled tube takes forever to warm up. It’s just too much mass. We went with a thinner, high-purity quartz glass instead. This lets the shortwave radiation punch right through to the PC or PET preform immediately. We also tweaked the wattage-to-length ratio. The result? The lamp hits full power in milliseconds. No waiting around. Fitting them in These are designed as drop-in replacements. We use standard R7s or Sk15 connectors, so you aren’t messing around with complicated wiring. If you’re on a high-voltage setup, we’ve tuned the wattage so the filament doesn’t just pop during that first big surge of current. Plus, we use a specific halogen gas fill.
