Introduction
We built this replacement lamp specifically for the Techne blower line. It’s a straight swap—drop it in and you’re back in business. If your PET blow molding runs need steady heat without sacrificing output, this is the one. It’s a 300mm, 400V, 2500W halogen tube made to run hard, cycle after cycle.
Power, Voltage, and Size—Why It Matters
Hitting 2500W at 400V gives you serious heat density in a compact size. That’s what makes the temperature snap back fast inside a 300mm tube—without straining the blower’s power limits. And the 300mm length matches the original cavity perfectly, so you don’t have to rework mounting or fight for clearance. A 400V, 2500W tube throws real heat, fast. That’s the upside. The catch is your machine’s cooling needs to be set up to handle the extra ambient heat. If you’re coming from a lower-voltage lamp, double-check the power supply and fusing.
What It’s Built From: Quartz, Halogen, and the Right Connection
The tube uses a quartz envelope with a halogen fill, which helps keep the filament temperature steady and fights blackening over time. Inside, the halogen cycle keeps the element cleaner, so output stays consistent over thousands of hours. The coating is tuned for infrared efficiency, pushing heat where you need it and wasting less energy. And it’s wired with an R7s connector—so you plug straight into the existing socket. No adapter plate. No re-termination. Just connect and run.
On the Floor: PET Blowing Without the Headaches
In PET blow molding, the heater has to hit temperature fast and then hold it steady. This lamp does exactly that. It cuts warm-up time, helps keep bottle wall thickness consistent, and keeps the process stable. Because it’s a direct replacement for Techne blowers, you keep the same tooling and mounting geometry. That means less changeover time, fewer temperature swings, and performance you can count on. In a busy shop, that translates to fewer scrap parts and more uptime on the line.
