Inside, you’ve got a quartz envelope filled with halogen. This design keeps the filament temperature steady, which fights that annoying blackening and keeps the output consistent over the tube’s life. And that gold coating on the glass? It reflects infrared heat back toward your target. So more of the warmth goes exactly where you need it, and less of it spills over and heats up surrounding parts. Then there’s the R7s connector—a straightforward, bi-pin fit. That means this tube drops right in as a replacement for many existing fixtures. No fuss.
